I get asked this question A LOT. I mean a lot, a lot. My answer has always been “ a boutique gift shop featuring LEEF Organics CBD products, fun and unique gifts and luxury products for the home at an affordable price.” Right? I mean, that IS what my shop, Happy Zen Mama is all about. However, it recently occurred to me that the question they are really asking is, what does Happy Zen Mama MEAN? That question is not so easily answered. I believe that it is all about perspective and personal satisfaction. For me, Happy Zen Mama means living in the moment, appreciating everything around me, and fully knowing that I am the creator of the life I choose to live. Sounds pretty simple, right? Unfortunately, too many of us miss the moments because we are either dredging up past mistakes and experiences, replaying them over and over again in our head asking ourselves “what if...” or “should’ve, could’ve, would’ve” OR worrying about something that MIGHT happen sometime in the future. Then there are the poor folks who do BOTH and spend their entire life never fully enjoying what is. Right now is all that truly exists! Whatever happened in the past is done and cannot be changed. It’s gone. Whatever may happen in the future, does not exist. Now, I am not saying that you shouldn’t make plans for the future; that can be fun and is a necessary part of life! What I am saying is worrying about tomorrow sucks the life out of today! NOW is all that truly exists. This moment, right here, right now is all there is. And the good news is, you have a CHOICE! Every morning you can choose what kind of day you are going to have! Every circumstance that you are faced with, every challenge that comes your way as well as any blessing, YOU HAVE A CHOICE! You decide what your reaction is going to be. You can look at a negative circumstance as a learning experience and be grateful for the lesson. You can be miserable that you have to wake up early and go to work, or you can look forward to what amazing things the day has in store for you. You can get angry or frustrated that the car ahead of you isn’t going as fast as you think they should, or you can enjoy the ride and take in the scenery that perhaps you may have passed hundreds of times but never really SAW it. Put the windows down and smell the air. You can be annoyed by the long line at the supermarket, or you can look at the outrageous covers of tabloid magazines and chuckle. Or better yet, be grateful. Be grateful that you have a secure job to go to. Be grateful that you have a car to drive. Be grateful What is Happy Zen Mama?
